About this villa rental
The villa is accessible both on foot and by car through a Corten steel gate located directly in front of the villa. From the entrance gate, a path of small granite slabs laid on the lawn leads to the pool area and the ground-floor living area, which offers a beautiful view of the sea.
The interior spaces:
The first floor consists solely of the living area, comprising the dining room and living room—combined into a single, spacious room—and a fully equipped kitchen, separated from the dining room by just three steps, placing it on a slightly lower level than the rest of the living area. The four large sliding glass doors flood the first floor interior with abundant, pleasant natural light and provide access to the spacious veranda and garden from both the dining room and the living room. The basement is accessible only from outside the villa, as there is no direct internal connection between the two levels; it consists of three double bedrooms—one for family use—four bathrooms plus a half-bath, as well as a laundry area. Every room in the villa is equipped with air conditioning, which provides relief during hot summer days. Both the first floor and the basement feature hardwood floors, which feel wonderful to walk on barefoot, while the window and door frames—both interior and exterior—are made of wood.
The outdoor areas:
Like the other villas in the complex, Villa Corallo’s architecture is inspired by the ancient Gallurese “stazzo,” the traditional dwelling of Gallura’s past, characterized by a gabled roof; Naturally, this architectural style has been skillfully harmonized with a touch of modernity, provided by the large windows (the stazzo had very small window frames) and the spacious verandas (the stazzo had no verandas). The enormous veranda, which surrounds the villa on three of its four sides, serves as a fantastic bridge between the outdoor and indoor spaces, thanks to its versatility and furnishings; it can be used, for example, for an aperitif before dinner or for dinner itself in the company of family and friends. The pool area, complete with sun loungers, is located to the right of the villa when facing the sea and is only 15 meters from the villa itself. The exterior walls and roof of Villa Corallo pay homage to the traditional materials used by the ancient builders of Gallura—namely, Sardinia’s signature stone, granite, and coppi (roof tiles)—all of which have been salvaged from historic local structures and reused in the roofs of villas such as Villa Corallo.
The garden, well-maintained and entirely covered with a soft lawn and native plants such as arbutus, wild olive trees, and myrtle, measures approximately 2,000 square meters.
Lu Impostu Beach, located about 1,000 meters from the villa, is characterized by extremely fine white sand composed of tiny grains formed by the natural erosion of the surrounding granite over the centuries, and can be reached via the resort’s internal road, following a small path and a wooden walkway adjacent to the Baglioni Hotel. This route is authorized and reserved exclusively for resort guests.
