I was really looking forward to staying here, and while the room was very clean, quiet, and one of the nicest I've stayed in but the most frustrating part was finding our room. The hotel's layout is confusing, and no one explained how the different levels worked, so I ended up wasting time trying to figure out where to go. I also prefer to self-park and carry my own luggage, but it felt like valet and luggage service were being pushed on us. On top of that, the fitness center didn't have disinfectant wipes available. Overall, the room was great, but the service and attention to detail left me expecting more.

Overall a great stay! Gorgeous decorated rooms, beautiful grounds, very stylish. We loved walking to glider point. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. There was only one chair on the patio, wish there were two so we could enjoy coffee and wine together.

This is very clean hotel, and nice amenities and vibes. But they do no publish their resort fees on booking sites, so you are caught off guard. On check-in they promised sending details of facilities you will get for the resort fees, but never sent. Going through booking site of agoda, we found burried undisclosed resort fees for the facility, but you don't get many of them. Staff could not even help us with basic directions to our room which was confusing. Room was not cleaned unless you follow up for that.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend, and unfortunately the experience did not match our expectations. During our stay, there were four weddings taking place at the hotel. Large groups of wedding guests were taking over significant parts of the pool area, making it difficult for regular hotel guests to find space and relax. Some guests even brought their own speaker systems and played music around the pool without much consideration for others. For a hotel at this price point, we expected the hotel to manage the shared spaces much better. The biggest frustration, however, was the unexpected additional charges. We booked through Agoda with taxes and fees shown as included, but the hotel charged additional San Diego/California taxes and fees on top of what we had already paid. Add to that $41 per day for parking and other hotel fees, and the final cost was significantly higher than expected. It was especially frustrating to pay substantial additional fees while a large part of the hotel experience seemed to revolve around accommodating multiple weddings. As a regular paying hotel guest, it felt like we were effectively paying premium rates and fees while receiving a compromised experience because of private events. The property itself has potential, but the combination of overcrowded common areas, lack of control around the pool, and unclear/additional charges made this a disappointing stay. The hotel should be much more transparent about all costs upfront and ensure that regular guests are not negatively impacted when several large events are taking place at the same time.
