Modern 3BR 2BA Home Lower Shotover Near Queenstown

There was plenty of room for my family of 3 adults & 1 child aged 12 years old. It was very clean and welcoming. We were in town for a wedding and we had just finished seeing family in a neighbouring town. We were also allowed to check-in 1 hour earlier than the 3pm check-in time which was great as we needed to take showers and get ready for the wedding at 4:30pm and that's when our frustrations kicked in.

There was NO hot water to have showers. We were flabbergasted. How can there be NO hot water in a home being booked for guests on their maiden stay and who are about to attend a wedding in 2 hours after checking in???? We all had a 5 minute cold shower as it was too unbearable so we did our best to shower and get ready. We did call the owners and they did offer to come have a look but we were already stressed with the situation as we didn't have time to wait for someone to fix it or even could have fixed it with the time constraints we had. Apart from that, we managed to get to the wedding not in our best state but we showed up and that's what counts. We also did see there was no dryer or clothes line so I had to hang laundry out over the open windows. It's an experience I've never experienced before and I hope it's just a one off as I've booked many apartments over the years and this one was below average unfortunately.
