ゲストハウス豆まめ - Guesthouse Mamemame

The warmest hospitality one can ever find. The hosts are the kindest people. They made us feel welcomed and cared, and helped with catching a train on time. The local pancakes for breakfast were delicious. The location is perfect, right in the middle between the castle and the art museum, and near the entrances to two old shopping streets.

Mame Mame’s traditional Japanese aesthetic fits in with the reasons people come to Matsumoto: to experience high quality, refined Japanese style. The premises are perfectly clean without being sterile. They are as delightful as are the hosts, who live in the guest house, and treat it with the care and pride of people who enjoy what they do. The cafe next door is part of the family business. The food is made with the same degree of pride as the guest house is run, unsurprisingly. We have seen many places. We plan to retake to this one in three months. That’s how good it is.

Fantastic guesthouse run by a lovely couple who made me feel very welcome. Everything was as described and they let me leave my bags in the room in the morning before check in. Great location with the castle only a few streets away and plenty of great restaurants, shops etc within a short walk. I left early and the hosts prepared a packed breakfast for me which was delicious and much appreciated. Highly recommend staying!

The owners are so nice, super kind. I wish I stayed there a bit longer. Everything was comfortable and clean. They had breakfast included, and also toaster, coffee machine in the kitchen. They also have cafe. They even prepared snacks for us🥹
