Excellent location, beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you would need for a short stay

The stairs are extremely steep and narrow and would not suit a lot of people especially with the bathroom being on a different level to the bedroom, treacherous in the middle of the night. Also the other cottages have access across your path to get out to the road/parking space so the garden is not very private. We could not check in until 4.30pm on the day of arrival and asked to check out by 10am on the day of leaving. Whilst we understand this is quite normal in holiday lets but it would be nice if flexibility could be considered when the property is empty and/or no one is due in immediately afterwards. These timings cut down so much on the time you get to spend in the property and paying for 2 nights infact just mean one full day! We were also asked to strip the bed before we left and disappointed to find a very stained mattress cover underneath. Shame as the rest of the cottage was very clean.

A lovely old cottage, full of character, which was beautifully equipped with good quality appliances and equipment. Everything we needed was there. A good size bathroom with excellent shower, the most comfortable bed and pillows. The entire cottage was spotlessly clean. Although the back wall of the cottage was actually on the High Street the stone walls were so thick we never heard any noise and woke to the sound of birds singing each morning.

The stairs were not only very steep but quite narrow in places. As 80 year olds we struggled to take our luggage up to the bedrooms. We knew parking in Blockley is often difficult but with a sunny Bank Holiday we often had to walk some distance from the car to the cottage although we did manage to park for a few moments closeby for loading and unloading our car.

Beautifully restored little cottage with high-end appliances (Smeg, Bosch) and kitchen equipment (ProCook, Robert Welch) and lovely fireplace extremely easy to turn on and off. Nice garden for a glass of wine. Great views from bedroom and sitting room. Easy walk to amazing village cafe and both pubs and nice base to walk around stunning Monarch Way and Heart of England Way. Oh and great shower with lots of hot water! There was no designated parking but we were able to park very close to cottage.

Two short flights of very narrow stairs which do have a lot of handrails but need to take a lot of care on painted steps which could benefit from some gripped flooring.
