What an ideal and unique place to stay when visiting DC! The houseboat is charming and has all you need - but nothing luxurious. Two separate sleeping areas is a great setup and the windows are covered with blackout curtains, making the sleeping spaces dark and cozy. This area of the city is quiet and safe. Free parking is a huge plus. Jason gave us great instructions how to find everything and checked on us upon arrival. Bikeshare is right there, so we biked into the city for everything. Adjacent restaurant, The Point, is just fine for dinner.
A few thing were not quite right. Upstairs deck was in a bit of disarray and grill was dirty. There were just two of us staying there and we did not use the top deck except for one evening, so this did not matter much to us. No shampoo in shower. Bring your own toiletries.
