Hotel Velar

Everything except we weren't booked.in due to Booking.com having duplicated this hotel. Despite this the owner invited us on for coffee and raki and Petullas and allowed us to use the wifi to book somewhere else. What an amazing man.

Todo estaba muy bien,destacar la amabilidad del dueño del hotel,el desayuno casero hecho por el mismo, teníamos una suite familiar con 2 habitaciones.Aunque no estaba en la calle principal se podía ir caminando a todos lados,calle a bajo llegabas a la zona del bazar. Aunque solo hay pocas reseñas no es porque no haya habido clientes es por un problema con la aplicación de Booking que borró las reseñas

This hotel exemplifies the Albanian tradition of "besa" - treating guests well. From my seeing the room with a treat of fresh fruit waiting on a plate on the table in my room to all the tips and help, they have excelled. Also, there are many sights in Korce that are within walking distance: Museum of Medieval Art, Oriental Art Museum, the Cathedral, the Old Bazaar, and even beautiful Rinas Park. It's very walkable.

As with many locations in Albania, one can smell cigarette smoke. Hotel Velar's rooms - at least, in my experience, did not smell like smoke at all. Someone sensitive to smoke will notice it in the lobby. The Host opens the door to allow fresh air inside, which helps.
