It was pristine and possibly brand new. It was very near the centre of town. Lovely white fluffy towels and comfortable bed.
The property was very small for 4 people. It was not well equipped. No tea spoons, only 4 coffee pods for 4 people staying 2 days. No soap or shampoo provided and only one small sachet of shower gel per person for 2 nights!!!! We have stayed in apartments for 10 days and it felt very mean compared to all the others and lacked all the nice little touches all the others provided. The oven was brand new but we couldn’t get it to work to warm croissants. The internet code was not available. We had to contact the host to ask for it.
There were road works on the road outside the property which were noisy for our entire stay. The road was closed so we had to walk a long way with all our luggage to get to the property. We were not warned of this.
The number was wrong on the Booking.com information .114 instead of 14 so took us a long time to find the property . It was correct on the entry information sent on the day but we had had looked to look at the address on booking com earlier, before the information arrived in order to programme the Sat nav.
The biggest problem however, was that the Booking.com information sent stated that there were two bathrooms at the property. There were not. The pictures on booking.com distinctly showed 2 bathrooms. I checked this before booking. My husband asked if there were two bathrooms and received an AI message stating “Absolutely “
We had changed our booking from a really nice one bathroom apartment which was cheaper to this solely for the 2 bathrooms. We ended up paying more for less 😡
On contacting the host she was not at all bothered and stated it was only a minor mistake in the details. Not for us!!! We shall be taking this up with booking .com.
