Central spacious good value with comfy bed

Very noisy street but this is understandable! Not easy to work lift… blinds in kitchen don’t block light completely

The apartment itself was actually very clean, nice, and has great potential. To her credit, the host clearly means well and was genuinely mortified when we reported the cleaning issues, immediately launching an investigation with her team. Furthermore, the bed sheets clearly smelled fresh and like clean laundry. The host also extended our checkout from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM without asking for extra money.

For £137 a night, the cleaning agency failed on crucial details: we found hairs on the bed, a disturbing red stain on the bedding, and someone else's used underwear behind the bathroom radiator. The wardrobe was also cluttered. Additionally, the pillows were extremely high; accommodations should provide both high and low options, as I woke up with a bad stiff neck. Service-wise, despite booking for two people, only one large towel was provided. The host kindly sent a replacement via Deliveroo late at night, but pressured us to interrupt our restaurant dinner to open the door for the rider, without checking first if we were at the property. It was a useless rush, as the rider just buzzed another flat and left it at reception anyway, something the host could have easily instructed him to do in the first place. Lastly, we were running 10 miles race (Brighton Ten) starting at 9:00 AM and asked for a tiny 30-minute extension until 12:30 PM to quickly shower. We were willing to pay for that extra half hour, but she never gave us the option to even mention it and just kept insisting she had other guests arriving early. However, we checked Booking.com and the property was actually vacant and bookable for that night. This rigidness and lack of honesty for just 30 minutes, especially after all the issues we faced, ruined the stay.
