Stylish New Town Centre Apartments

Location was amazing, bang in the middle of town. Contacted the owner twice with two tiny issues, and responded and dealt with them within 10mins each - would’ve been quicker if booking.com actually told me I had messages….! Kids loved it. Really well updated and kept.

The only downside (and why I scored it 9/10) was not having access to a hoover to quickly wizz round during the stay and before leaving…..

Very clean and modern apartment. Close to everything in town.

The apartment was fresh, clean and spacious. We loved how close it was to the beach, shops and bars. Everything was only a few minutes walk away. The price was very fair and reasonable for what we got and we are planning to return again next year

There was nothing we didn't like

Newly remodeled flat. Modern kitchen with induction cooktop. Bathroom is well above average with a large, new tub, rain head and hand shower. The location is verrry close to the beach and historic Weymouth harbor. It's easy to get anywhere in Weymouth by foot. While there is no parking on the streets surrounding the flat, there are a number of parking lots a short walk away. We used the Governor's Steet parking for the duration of our stay because it is, inexpensive during the day and free from 6pm to 8am and any parking purchased in the evening paid coverage in the morning after 8am. Pretty cool. You can only pay for 3 hours at a time during the day, but you can add more time as needed. The property manager was responsive to the few needs we had during our stay and delivered a fan to help with the heat in the flat. It's probably a decent value, even with the negatives (listed below).

I honestly cannot recall more street noise at any of my many stays in Europe. It was a bit rough. Many people yelling and talking on the high street below and the seagulls seem amplified and psychotic in the morning. The modern windows do help shut out the sound, but the flat gets too warm on summer days/nights and you need to open windows to cool it down. (The homeless couple sleeping next to the door on the street drank a lot and yelled a lot from 9:30 pm until midnight.) Also, the mattresses are just okay--not horrible, but not great. (My mattress was upside down upon arrival and terribly uncomfortable until I flipped it!) Another thing we didn't love is there isn't much of a "family room"--just an L-shaped bench around a kitchen table. We were also given the wrong lockbox code, but the owner got back to us soon and we only had to wait about 10 min to get in. I honestly would find a quieter place to stay if I return to Weymouth.
