    I could not go and lost my booking because I was not well. Unfortunately I lost my money. I called the small hotel and asked them if I could go and stay a night to make up they said no. This hotel is far away from Yamanaka lake there is no restaurant no convenience store nearby. They have an onsen but it’s not natural hot springs. If you are ready to go far away from the lake maybe you should check it out but I am totally disappointed.

    We booked the "micro-quad apartment" with 4 single beds. the room was clean, the beds good, and sink area and unit bath seemed almost new. And very spacious, 35 m2, with a nice strong airconditioner. However, there was no refrigerator, no micro-wave, no dishes or utensils, no TV, no written signs or materials other than the wifi password... and only 2 chairs and a tiny table where 2 could sit (there were 3 of us). We never saw a receptionist or anyone who seemed to be in charge. Both at check-in and check-out we had to go looking for someone and in both cases it was a cleaner (not fluent in either Japanese or English) we found to get/return the room key - clearly an employee or contracter. Most disappointing was, we only realized (by seeing a sign posted in the main building doorway area) at the time of checkout that they had an open air hot-spring bath - it would have been great to use that during our stay. Location is fine if you have a car. We came from Yokohama area by bus. The property was a fairly steep 10 min. walk downhill to the lake shore, about a 20 min. walk to the Asahigaoka bus terminal. It was an ¥800 taxi ride from the lakeside back to the room.
