Stay here 1 week. Good location which 3 minutes walk to bus station and Dostyk plazza and 15 minutes walk to kok tobe . Staff can speak fluency English and any problem can reach them by whatapps. Just the heater is unstable, i already follow instruction turn to end for hot water but sometimes it still can't get the hot water for shower.

This hostel is located just across Dostyk plaza, so it is easy to reach by public transport (direct bus to shymbulak also depart from this area). The front lady in the reception (her name is Alwa if i'm not wrong) was friendly & helpful. As a female solo traveller, this hostel felt safe to me.

A toilet hand-held bidet spray head/ douche inside the toilet is must have. Clean and comfortable, enough privacy even in shared rooms thanks to curtains around beds and private locking cabinets. It was in a good location, good hosts! Very friendly. Great Value for money

There is a mall with food court in 2-3 min walk so it’s convenient for food and supermarket. There is a nice river (+coffee shops) close by as well. However the location is not close to the attractions and it’s a bit far from the airport.
The dormitory was okay, bathrooms are clean. We had to make our own bed, the bed and blanket didn’t look too clean (had quite some hair on it).
The few staff I met weren’t too keen to help. The second night I went into the shower only to know that there wasn’t hot water due to water pipe maintenance of the whole building before winter. I understand this can happen but I would expect the staff to give us a heads up (he said he knew it beforehand). And I asked a few questions around this l, he just said ‘may be’. That wasn’t too helpful as well.
