The villa is owned and run by a family. The owners could not have been more hospitable and helpful during our stay. The owners would not let us carry our bags to our room despite our protestation. The villa normally only provides breakfast, but as we arrived around dinner time, we were offered dinner and it was an elaborate feast. So was breakfast the following day. The mother and father take great pride in their flower and vegetable gardens and were really pleased to show us these before we left. The villa is only a short trip by tuk tuk to the Ambewela railway station so it is a convenient place to stay if you are catching the train to either Ella or Budella. And to cap it off the views of the sun rising over the nearby mountains in the morning is stunning.
