Whitstable Hollington

Location is great, there's an on site outdoor pool with grassed area to sit and read. Plenty of space to swim. The van itself has a good size double & twin beds, shower room and kitchen/ living/dining space. It took us a few minutes to locate, but we followed the instructions provided and all was good. There's parking right by it. Easy to get into Whitstable with all the lovely shops, and only a 30-40 min drive to Ramsgate and Broadstairs, which both have beautiful sandy beaches.

We had a pleasant stay overall and the caravan was comfortable for our two-night break. There were just a few small touches that I think would make the experience even better for future guests. It would have been lovely to have a few basic provisions on arrival, such as tea, coffee and a little cooking oil. A welcome folder would also have been really helpful, with information such as the clubhouse and pool opening times, nearby shops, restaurants and local recommendations. We only stayed for two nights, but this is something we've appreciated at other holiday properties. A couple of minor maintenance issues also came to our attention: the oven could have done with a clean, there was a dirty baking tray left inside, and the bulb in the bedside lamp in the main bedroom wasn't working (we borrowed one from the spare room). A fan was provided, which was appreciated, although we were glad we'd brought our own as it was during the heatwave. These are all fairly minor points, and with a few small improvements this would be an even better place to stay.

Very clean and homely

The area is lovely. Beach on your doorstep. Activities for children. A pool. Little on site shop which was well stocked. Whitstable is a ten minute minutes drive away or there's a bus stop 10 minutes down the road.

I've been to Alberta holiday park a number of times when visiting my grandchildren who live in Whitstable. It's great for them as there's usually lots for them to do. I've stayed in 4 caravans on this site and this one is the most basic. £390 for 3 nights is hugely over priced. The fan was broken during a heatwave, no curtain over the front door which let the heat in, the matress was well worn. No welcome pack of basics sugar tea etc. I'm going to venture out to Folkstone next time.
