We loved having the small apartment all to ourselves. The balcony and patio was great and we loved being in a residential area with local people. The view was great and we loved the cafe by the nearby church. Our host was very responsive. He solved any minor problems we had very promptly.
You definitely need a car (and the smallest one possible) to drive about 15 minutes from the port. The streets are very narrow and parking is a bit of a challenge. No supermarkets at walking distance so you have to plan your grocery purchases if you plan to have breakfast at home.
