A Rich History
The Buena Vista House sits in the historic Waretown district, named after the Ware family, early boat captains who helped grow St. Andrews through trade and transport along the Florida panhandle.
In 1886, Catherine M. Hunt purchased this property and opened The Buena Vista Inn, welcoming travelers arriving by rail and by sea. Over the decades, it remained a place of hospitality and gathering, and today, you're invited to continue that tradition.
