The interior of Fishergate Town House is stunning and offers guests every possible modern-day comfort looking out at the historic walls. With three sumptuous bedrooms, two of which are en-suite, a wonderfully comfortable living room and a designer kitchen, Fishergate is only a 2-minute walk to the city centre and has to be the place to stay to make lasting memories. Guests can stay for two nights or more and can arrive any available day. The beautiful Fishergate town house is just a 2-minute walk from the city’s historic castle and Coppergate areas where the Castle Museum Clifford’s Tower Jorvik Centre are located.
Through the front door of the main entrance on the ground floor is the entrance lobby and a dedicated utility room with separate washing machine and dryer. A flight of stairs takes you up to the first floor where you have the living room, kitchen and two bedrooms. The living area is a relaxing space in which to wind down after a busy day in York - it has designer sofas and 55-inch smart TV. The property offers smart TVs for various viewing channels. Fishergate Postern Tower is worth a visit; built between 1504 and 1507 it is a superb Grade I listed tower at the end of a section of York’s medieval walls. It is also just a couple of minutes from river walks and cruises and from the award winning Bishopthorpe Road known as the ‘Notting Hill of the north’ with all of its shops, delis, restaurants and welcoming atmosphere. York racecourse is just over a mile from the property.
This really is a superb holiday property offering guests a terrific location from which to explore York and to be away from the hubbub at night.
