About this house rental
Full of classic mid-century design and all the comforts of 21st-century living, this three-bedroom property offers a wonderful home base for a family or a group of friends near the heart of Palm Springs. Designed by Donald Wexler AIA in an iconic butterfly-roof design, this home was thoughtfully remodeled in 2012 and now offers an updated air conditioning system, dual-paned windows and sliders, and a new 50-foot swimming pool with a shallow tanning ledge, a fountain, umbrella holes, and an attached spa. The south-facing backyard is punctuated by citrus and palm trees, a gas barbecue, and comfortable seating for admiring the view of Mt. San Jacinto. Each evening, you can retire to the living room and the warming gas fireplace to stream Netflix and Hulu on the 48-inch Smart TV.

This home is located three miles east of downtown Palm Springs and Palm Canyon Drive, the main strip that's known for its excellent restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, and nightlife. When you're not out and about on the town, you can tee off at incredible golf courses in the area, take a ride on the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (seven miles west), or go for a hike in Tahquitz Canyon (five miles southwest) or Indian Canyons (eight miles south). The famous shopping district of El Paseo is also only 13 miles southeast in downtown Palm Desert.

-Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

My family of six had a great stay! We’ve visited Palm Springs many times and always rent different houses, and this one was one of our favorites. The huge pool was the star of the show, which is key when it’s 9million degrees out. The home was very clean and the kitchen well stocked with all that we needed. The house does sit alongside a busy road, but street noise wasn’t an issue. The location is great as far as being just a few minutes from grocery stores and such. Our one gripe would be that we didn’t have access to park our car in the garage, which in 118 degree weather is a must. Overall this is a great place with a fabulous pool.

The house is quite lovely. It’s centrally located near the airport. Overall we loved our stay. There were just a few issues.
Pros: centrally located minutes from grocery stores, shopping and night life. The backyard is private and beautiful. Great view of the full moon. The pool is awesome.The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to eat in. Plenty of towels.
Cons: Busy street behind property with lots of traffic noise. Airport is close so there’s airplane noise. No music is allowed outside but we heard loud music every day and night we were there. Pool maintenance was supposed to come
Friday and didn’t come until check out day (Monday) No supplies to clean counters and dining table.

Property is managed by Vacasa. When we arrived we found a filthy pool but the house was decent. Discovered the dryer didn’t work because the start button was missing. Reached out to Vacasa and they said the local manager would be in touch, but didn’t hear from them prior to our departure. Three tv remotes for the living room TV, one had no batteries, one had dead batteries, so we had to shuffle batteries between remotes. Nice neighborhood that is about a 10 minute drive to downtown area.
