CASTLE for 10 personss with swimming pool in AMBOISE

We stayed here as two families with 5 children between us. The property is really lovely, it has so much character and is set in spacious grounds so ample room for the children to entertain themselves. The pool is a good size and right next to the house and there was plenty of useful information left by the owners to help plan trips further afield.

A three generations holiday for us. Four kids and six adults. Easy access by car to Loire Valley highlights as well as shopping and boulangerie. Afternoon gets quite warm but the pool provides the perfect solution.

Historic house within a nice surrounding. We found the house and our rooms very clean and functional. The hosts have been extremely friendly and helpful. Nevertheless, they fully respected our privacy. The pool ich fantastic, very clean and great to swim in. Barbeque was provided and working well. The children loved to walk around and to feed the chicken. We definitely recommend this location for a stay in this beautiful area!

We loved our stay at Nazelles-Negron! The location is perfect for visiting chateaux in the area, and Amboise is such a quaint town. It's the perfect walking town, and the setting along the river is amazing. I'm so glad we stayed there, because it has quite a few restaurants and bakeries. I didn't realize that some other places I looked at would have been pretty remote. It also has Aldi and Intermarche grocery stores. We ended up cooking more than we thought we would, because we were a group of nine, which is difficult to accommodate in small restaurants. If you want to eat out, I suggest making reservations, especially with the better restaurants in town. We loved our stay at the chateau! It's quirky, because it's a very old home with European appliances and bathrooms. We got used to everything quickly though. The layout of the house worked well for us, which is a little difficult to tell from the pictures. The living room, eat in kitchen, and one full bathroom are on the first floor. A spiral staircase leads to the second and third floor. The second floor has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Both bathrooms have tubs and shower handles, but no wall mount like we're used to in the US. The third floor has two bedrooms, one with the ensuite bathroom. That bathroom has a wall mounted shower. The hot water was sufficient, if you space out some showers between morning and night, and don't have a teenage daughter who takes a 30 minute shower! I was glad that we stayed on the third floor with the traditional shower. The climb up the spiral staircase takes a little getting used to, but I felt more comfortable with it the longer we stayed. You lean onto a twisting, grooved pole that goes down the middle. We saw the exact same design at the Clos Luce in Amboise, the home of Leonardo DiVinci the last three years of his life. It looked exactly like his design! All the beds were comfortable, with nice sheets and duvets. The towels aren't fluffy, since they are line dried, but worked fine for us. We also asked for wash cloths, as they weren't provided at first. There is a washing machine in the kitchen, but no dryer, so keep that in mind if you want to wash anything. The family is really lovely! They were available to us if we needed, but we didn't interact that much. They brought us eggs from their chickens, and the kids loved playing with their dog and looking at the horses. I would definitely recommend staying here!

First class

Our family of 9 people, three generations ages 7-70, has just returned from a wonderful week at this Chateau. Our wing of the Chateau had 3 stories, with a large, well equipped country kitchen, a cozy living room and a bathroom on the ground floor, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the second floor, and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the top floor. The quaint spiral staircase is hundreds of years old and carved out of a single giant log. There was plenty of space for all of us. It was clean and comfortably furnished, including a dishwasher, washing machine, good wifi, and a lovely pool, with poolside tables, beach chairs, bbq and ping pong table. Everything you could want for a relaxing and comfortable stay! The owners live in the rest of the Chateau. They were friendly and helpful but never intrusive. Our grandchildren, who are in French immersion at school, visited with their children, and also translated for us, when the owners shared the fascinating history of the Chateau. The setting is peaceful and pastoral, with horses in the meadow and a chicken pen in the trees. The kids had plenty of room to run and had fun feeding the chickens. All of these things added up to make our stay here a truly unique experience that our family will never forget. Booking and communicating with the owners was easy through the app and everything was as described. It is only a 5 minute drive in to Amboise to the bakery and grocery store. Amboise is a charming town. We went to the light show at the castle there and it was fabulous.. The location of this chateau is perfect for visiting the many other chateaus in the Loire Valley. And we felt like royalty living in our very own castle, if only for a week!

Alexia, Jean-Sebastien and their three charming boys ensured that our stay with them was most enjoyable. We were a party of 5 adults and 3 children. The amenities provided suited us all - the lovely swimming pool, the historic house, the egg-laying hens with their handsome rooster, the football field for the children, and the delightful outdoor eating area. We are particularly grateful to Jean-Sebastien for arranging for his doctor to call to check on our grand-daughter when she fell ill. It would be lovely to stay there again, and we are so grateful to them for their hospitality. Nicholas and Williams family.

We enjoyed the pool area , with its bbq and space to seat 3 families across 2 tables , with its lovely evening sun. The kitchen was well equipped , plenty of utensils, and the bedroom layout worked well. The AC in the little apartment was particularly good. We enjoyed seeing Amboise, Blois , Vouvray and took a trip to Saumur. The kids enjoyed the high ropes at Clic Lac, for a day out of the sun . Overall the property worked well, although the décor is a bit tired inside, the outdoor area made up for that.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely and historic chateau. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating. All conveniences were as described. The pool is wonderful. Important to have a car!

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique au château de la Vallière. Très bon accueil des propriétaires qui nous ont donné plein d'idées d'activités. Intérieur très spacieux, bien entretenu et très fonctionnel. Situé en plein coeur de la vallée de la Loire, c'est l'endroit idéal pour explorer la région!

Owners were very accommodating yet discreet. Our three children were a similar age to theirs and had great fun playing football in the huge garden and checking out the chickens (and trying to learn french). Pool was great. This is a fab location to explore many Loire hotspots - all very easy day trips (and cycle trips!). Amboise is a lovely town with huge character. We recommend this accommodation.

Wonderful, comfortable property with warm and friendly hosts. We had plenty of space and everything was there that we could possibly have needed! Our hosts were such a charming family and our kids enjoyed playing with their lovely boys. We were a multi-generational group of 11 and we all really enjoyed our stay - we felt so lucky to have found such a wonderful place. Oh, and the location cannot be beat - so close to town and right in the middle of everywhere you'd want to go in the Loire Valley!

We had an amazing stay in Chateau La Valliere because of three things: 1) Amazing location: It is a 300-year old castle with everything you need, from many, spacious rooms, fully equiped kitchen to the perfect swimming pool 2) Very thoughtful owners: the owners are very nice and had arranged everything for our stay - from providing two pairs of boots (in different sizes) for our little girl, a baby cot with sleeping bag to charcoal and firelighters for the BBQ 3) Amazing environment: Amboise with the Royal Castle is a 5 min drive, Chateau Chenonceau 20m We stayed here for a week and basically have not found any real negative points. We had a wonderful stay at Chateau Valliere. The house is so wonderfully unique. Beds and furniture all comfortable and plentiful. Kitchen very well equipped. The pool was absolutely fantastic. The place, the localization, the hospitality!! 100% recommended!!

This is a superb facility in the heart of Chateau country in the beautiful Loire Valley at Amboise. What you see on this website is what you get-and more!. It is fitted out to the nth degree, is well furnished, clean, and with all the domestic appliances you could wish for. The hosts are most welcoming and helpful and are very available if you need anything. The pool is excellent, with table tennis and bbq facilities as well as a slide for the kids. The Chateau is just a short drive from the wonderful town of Amboise but also very close to Blois, Chambord, Chenonceau and many others. Wineries are plentiful and accommodating and you are close to key producing areas such as Vouvrey and Mesland. There is an excellent InterMarche supermarket close by and some lovely villages such as in Poce-sur-Cisse where there is a lovely restaurant inside a cave called Les Caves de la Croix Verte. This Chateau is an ideal base for adults and children alike, in or out of season, as it has central heating. We loved it and would cherish a return visit. It received five stars from all seven people in our party.

Our extended family of 7, Grandparents, adults and kids, stayed for one very wonderful week at Chateau de La Valliere. It was everything we hoped for. The pool was heaven, the apartment had everything we needed. The host family are delightful and speak very good English. Grandpere even spent an evening with us explaining the history of the Chateau and his family. He then played his piano for us which we all enjoyed. I will recommend this rental to anyone who would like to have a good stay in France. It is easy to get to all the Loire Valley sites, the train station is walkable( if it isn't 95 degrees outside) and Paris is just a 1.5 hr train ride away. The town of Amboise can be walked to also. There is a very convenient boulangerie and butcher shop near by as well as a large grocery store you can drive to. If we had rented bicycles, we would have gotten to all of them easily. The apartment is the end of the Chateau, with your own outside area and the pool is large and clean. There are lots of loungers and chairs and for us, lots of pool toys. The inside of the apartment is very well done and very comfortable. The beds are good, the bathrooms large and well set up. It was very hot while we were there but we were able to keep the apartment cool enough during the day so we could all sleep at night. A couple of fans might have been nice, but we did fine. While the owners, Alexia and Jean-Sebastien, are on site, we never saw them except for when they watered the plants, etc. They let us know if we needed them to just come and knock on their door. We were always comfortable with them. Check in and out was easy and very well done. This was our favorite place we stayed at while in France. We hope to return someday. "The Baron de Rosney and his family were very nice neighbors. He invited us to hear original compositions twice, which was a treat. The rest of the time, our side of the chateau was all ours, and was quite quiet. My husband and I travelled there to join his sister and her husband, his daughter and her husband and their two small children. The clothes washer was wonderful to have. In June, it was too chilly to swim, but the pool looked lovely. There was a kid’s playground in a shady grove of trees. The location was well-situated for driving to several Loire valley royal chateaux, and to vineyards with degustation rooms. The shower for our room on the third floor was in one of the turrets, with a window overlooking the countryside where hot air balloons drifted, and horses roamed the meadow. The spiral staircase (built in the 13th century, I believe) was impressive and easy to negotiate. The linens (for hire) were luxurious. The kitchen was well-equipped and the harvest table seated all of us easily. The furnishings were comfortable. We had wi-fi. The place was adorable!"

Grande demeure historique avec piscine, idéale pour des vacances en famille, impeccable et très bien équipée, au coeur d'une magnifique région qui regorge de sites à visiter et d'activités. Hôtes charmants et de bon conseil, communication fluide et réponses ultra rapides durant toute la procédure de réservation, accueil chaleureux. Je recommande vivement !

L accueil fut sympathique et les hôtes très à l écoute et soucieux du bon déroulement du séjour Les chambres sont spacieuses et agréables Le salon permet de passer de bons moments près du feu Cuisine bien équipée et bien agencée avec un coin repas permettant d accueillir une grande famille... Je tiens à remercier les hôtes d avoir accepté de reporter le séjour prévu initialement en 2020 et pour lequel nous avons dû changer les dates

Ospitalità eccellente e discreta A pochi km da Amboise Buon punto di partenza per visitare molti castelli e guardini. Abbinando la bicicletta e il treno il raggio di possibili visite aumenta in modo considerevole. La cucina è ben organizzata Lavastoviglie Lavatrice per il bucato. Sembra di fare un tuffo nel passato.

Quel beau souvenir pour notre famille qui se réunissait en pays de Loire le week end dernier. Nous avions choisi le Château de la Vallière pour sa proximité d'Amboise,son calme avec le parc et la piscine, et ce fût un séjour merveilleux. La ,beauté de la demeure et son histoire, le confort et le raffinement de la décoration des chambres, le salon avec nos soirées au coin du feu et la grande cuisine dinatoire , tout était parfait sans compter le très bel accueil de Madame de Rosny, sa grande gentillesse et sa disponibilité, entre autres pour nous raconter l'histoire de ce château qui nous a tant séduit. La piscine n'était pas en service car nous étions un peu tôt en saison mais nous imaginons quel bonheur ce doit être de se réunir dans un tel endroit dès que le soleil est plus généreux. Nous sommes tous repartis absolument émerveillés.

Excellent WE passé dans ce logement très bien rénové et à la configuration idéale pour accueillir des familles avec des enfants en bas âge. Mme de Rosny s'est montrée très disponible dans l'organisation de ce court séjour. Ne pas hésiter !

Des propriétaires charmants et prévenants. Un lieu d'exception parfait pour 10 personnes. La piscine est un vrai bonheur. Amboise tout près et Tours à 30 minutes pour profiter des châteaux et du bord de Loire. Nous avons passé un WE magnifique en famille.
