It was a personal experience in a sweet cottage

The cottage we stayed in was the only rental on the property. The hosts were a lovely couple who lived in the main house that has been in the family for 400 years. They greeted us, showed us around and made recommendations about the area. The cottage was small but worked well for our group of three.

The only thing that might have made it better would have been if it was located within walking distance of the river and restaurants but that really wasn’t an issue. The drive to town was quick and it was nice to be in a quiet place

Fantastic stay!

Beautiful stopping point if you’re travelling from the south or north - in between bourdeux and Paris. Host was brilliant, super helpful and kind. The plot is stunning. Parking is plentiful and safe. Thank you!

A pleasant stay in Amboise

Alexia, our host, was very welcoming and took the time to explain how we could cycle in to town, and gave us recommendations for restaurants. She also provided delicious home-made bread and yoghurts for breakfast! We found it easy to cycle along the grassy track by the river, just across the main road. The bed was comfortable - it is up some steep stairs, and the bathroom is on the ground floor, but we didn’t find it a problem at all. Parking was right next to the house, and we could lock our bikes in the garage next door. We had a lovely stay and hope to return.

Perfect

We are travelling a lot, and we see a lot of great places and faces. This time we were sad because we had to say "goodbye". The host was truly amazing. She was kind and gave us a lot of ideas what to do, eat and experience in the area. The house was close to the important castles in the area, you can hike and ride a bike. The house is clean and cosy. The breakfast was good as well. Oh, and they have a pool! If you are in the area, go there!

Spacious, beautifully-designed gîte in stunning location.

Beautiful setting. Easy parking. Very welcoming, kind family showed us around. Also the husband came out in his car to guide us when we got lost in Amboise! Lovely breakfast with home-made bread, grape jam and yoghurt. Exceptional.

The only disturbance in the tranquillity was the rushing sound of a nearby train at regular intervals. Otherwise very peaceful.

Where to start?! The cottage was clean and lovely and had large windows making it airy and comfortable. The cottage is also located at about a 5 minute drive or 40 minute walk from the nearby town where Château Royal d'Amboise and Clos Lucé are located. Our host was very friendly and gave us pamphlets of things to do around Amboise. She brought us fresh breakfast everyday, consisting of baguettes, fresh made yogurt, fresh fruit, home-made jam, and eggs. She responded quickly to messages and always asked if we needed anything. It was a wonderful stay overall!

Marvelous stay in the beautiful Loire valley

The house is lovely and very comfortable located at a beautiful quiet spot near the Loire river. The hostess recieved us with open arms and saw to our every need. After a good night's sleep we had a delicious breakfast with homemade bread and jam. We really loved everything from beginning to end. It was all in all a really recomendable experience.

Une bonne adresse pour commencer à décompresser si vous descendez plus au sud. Avec tout ce qu’il y a à voir aux alentours il faut un minimum de 2 nuits Accueil des plus chaleureux de la part de Madame de Rosny

Vue magnifique sur leur château, proximité du centre, espace extérieur personnel, Triplex original très bien aménagé avec goût, accueil des propriétaires.

Lit clic clac en bas matelas inconfortable, petit déjeuner décevant pour nous (pain maison, 2 dosettes de café ( ou thé)beurre, confiture mirabelles, yaourt maison), chemin de fer audible sans être trop proche.

Location, gentilezza degli ospiti, possibilità di ricovero delle bici in luogo sicuro facilmente accessibile. La possibilità di cucinare sul posto. La colazione con prodotti genuini alcuni home made (pane, yogurt e marmellata) è da provare.

Nulla in particolare. Da segnalare la scala di accesso al soppalco dove si trova il letto molto ripida e non adatta a chi ha difficoltà di deambulazione; per chi arriva in bici segnalo che la struttura si trova ad un quarto d'ora dal centro e che per raggiungerla è necessario percorrere 200 metri di strada trafficata (ma si può utilizzare l'ampio marciapiede) e successivamente percorrere stradine secondarie tranquille

Nous avons été très déçus par la prestation petit-déjeuner proposée dans cet établissement. J’avais réservé 2 petits-déjeuners, mais on nous en a facturé 3 sans possibilité de correction. De plus, le contenu est très insuffisant pour le tarif de 10 € par personne. Rapport qualité-prix très décevant. Dommage, car l’accueil et le cadre étaient corrects, mais ce genre de détail gâche l’expérience.
