Welcome to your relaxing canal-front getaway at Sandpiper Cove in beautiful Destin!
This charming one-bedroom, one-bath condo is perfectly situated on the canal, offering peaceful water views and a laid-back coastal atmosphere. Located on the second floor (please note: no elevator access), the condo provides added privacy and a quiet retreat after a day at the beach.
Inside, the bedroom features a comfortable Queen bed, creating a cozy space to unwind. The living room is thoughtfully arranged to accommodate families and small groups, offering a sofa sleeper plus toddler bunk beds (only bottom bunk is allowed to be used), making it ideal for couples with little ones or a small family getaway.
Pet lovers will feel right at home — this condo is dog-friendly (dogs only), so your four-legged family members can join in on the vacation fun. There is a maximum of 2 dogs allowed in this condo 45 pounds or under. An additional pet fee of $100 plus tax per dog does apply. There is also a $10 fee collected by Sandpiper Cove on-site. Current shot records are required at check-in as well. Although Sandpiper Cove allows pets, pets are not allowed on the beach. No beach in Destin/Okaloosa county is pet friendly.

We had a fantastic spring break in Destin! We booked this property last minute and were so happy we could bring our Morkie along. The unit was clean, comfortable, and very family-friendly.A big plus was the included beach chairs, and we easily rented a boogie board right on the beach. Another great surprise was having a washer and dryer in the unit—such a convenient perk that wasn’t even listed.Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely come back again!

I'll start with the positives: the home was very clean, the view was beautiful, and the layout was very functional for our family of four.Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was disappointing. We arrived later in the evening due to bad weather, and it took us more than 25 minutes to get through the front gate because we weren't registered. We were told there was a communication issue between the owner and the property management company. Once we got into the unit, we were concerned about the front door. It needs to be replaced as it didn't feel secure and looked like it could easily be forced open.The unit was also lacking basic essentials. There was only one half-used roll of toilet paper, no paper towels, and no coffee. Since we arrived late, we didn't have time to stop at a grocery store. In all of our previous VRBO stays, there have always been enough basic supplies to get us through the first day.The check-in and checkout times were also less convenient than what we've experienced at most hotels/rentals. To top it off, at 9:00 a.m. while we were loading our car to leave, the cleaning crew was already waiting outside and watching us, which made us feel rushed and uncomfortable.We usually leave a vacation rental saying, "We wish we could have stayed a few more days." Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. While we're thankful this was just a stop on our way to our next destination, we would not recommend staying at this property.
