This unique place has a style all its own. Its located in one of the central historical Testaccio, where you still can taste the flavor of the true roman live. The apartment is equipped with all you can need for a short stay. Perfect for 3 persons, can accommodate up to four person using the sofa bed.
There is also a patio that can become a relaxing area to have a drink after a long day.
The area it's well connected with public transportation and is full of restaurants, supermarkets etc.
The Space:
The property consists of:
- A living room with a dining area and a sofa bed, which we can set up as a bed upon request.
- A small bedroom/studio with a bunk bed and a comfortable desk for work.
- A kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, induction stove, and other accessories such as a coffee maker, kitchen utensils, glasses, plates, etc.
- A bathroom with shower and bidet
- Wi-Fi
- Air conditioning (hot/cold)
A set of sheets and towels per guest, as well as bathroom amenities for the first 2-3 days, are included. For longer stays, you can purchase items you need in the local shops.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire apartment, except for the storage closets on the patio.
Advance notice is required for use of the sofa bed. Otherwise, it will not be ready to use as a bed.
The Neighborhood:
Testaccio is one of Rome’s most authentic and lesser-known neighborhoods, tucked just south of the Aventine Hill and the Tiber River. The unit is in one of the main streets in the heart of Testaccio, offering a slice of local Roman life with easy access to great food, culture, and transport.
Testaccio is known for its genuine, working-class roots, vibrant food culture, and laid-back atmosphere. Unlike the more tourist-heavy areas like Trastevere or Campo de' Fiori, Testaccio offers a more local and residential feel — making it ideal for travelers who want to experience the "real" Rome.
The property area runs near several neighborhood highlights, including the famous Mercato di Testaccio — a modern market hall offering everything from fresh produce to gourmet street food.
Getting Around:
Despite its peaceful, residential vibe, Testaccio is very well connected:
Metro: The nearest metro stop is Piramide (Line B), just a 10-minute walk from the apartment. From there, you can reach the Colosseum in 2 stops, and Termini station in 4 stops.
Bus/Tram: Numerous buses and the nearby Tram 3 line go toward Trastevere, the Colosseum, and San Giovanni.
Walking: You can walk to Trastevere (across the Tiber) in 15–20 minutes, and to Aventine Hill and the Orange Garden in 10 minutes.
