Everything about this place was beyond our expectations. We stayed for 7 nights and honestly wanted to extend our stay. THE STAY: The home felt like living in an art gallery. It was beautifully designed with wood throughout, lots of thoughtful local touches, and incredible Korean artefacts displayed around the house. Some of them were 200+ years old, and there were little notes explaining their history, which made the space feel really special. The amenities were great too - hairdryers and straighteners in every room, a coffee machine, Bluetooth speakers, and even a washing machine and dryer, which we made great use of during our stay. THE LOCATION The location was perfect for us. It isn't right in the middle of the busiest part of Seongsu, but it's only a short walk away. It's closer to the Seoul Forest side, so you really get the best of both worlds imo. The train station is about a 3-minute walk away, and the line made it incredibly easy to get around Seoul. THE HOST: The host was honestly the best host I've ever had. Aren was incredibly responsive before we arrived and even organised help to get our bags upstairs when we asked. It's only one flight of stairs, but it was such a thoughtful touch. When we arrived, there were personal notes waiting for us, along with face masks, treats and little gifts. Even the practical details had been thought through. There were three loofahs, three toothbrushes, etc., because Aren knew exactly how many guests were staying. But the absolute highlight was his Notion guide to Seongsu and the surrounding areas. It wasn't a generic tourist guide. It was full of genuinely local recommendations, including things to do that week, and I ended up visiting so many of the places suggested. It completely changed the way we experienced the neighbourhood. You can tell how much care has gone into this place, both from the home itself and from the host.

הדירה מהממת. משופצת לחלוטין. מעוצבת באופן מיוחד עם פרטי אספנות עתיקים. המיטות נוחות מאוד והמצעים נהדרים. האיזור שקט לגמרי אך במרחק של כ 15 דקות הליכה לרחובות השוקקים של השכונה. תחנת המטרו הקרובה במרחק של כ 5 דקות הליכה. המארחת השקיעה רבות בפרטים קטנים שהפכו את השהייה למפנקת ונוחה וכן פינקה במתנות קטנות, חטיפים ושתיה.

I cannot stress enough how amazing of a host Aren was for our stay. She speaks perfect English, is extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding neighbourhood, especially restaurants and little cultural things not written up in a tourist guidebook. We went to 5 different dinner spots she recommended and all were excellent. We have never felt more taken care of or felt such a genuine connection from a host before. The attention to detail of the accommodation amenities was also incredible. Her very detailed instructions on how to get to the house were very easy to follow and accurate.

Our stay with Aren was so amazing future stays elsewhere will pale in comparison.
