Richmond Apartments

The location was excellent, right in the centre of Mortlake village with shops and bus stops just a 2-minute walk away, and the overground railway to central London only 10 minutes on foot (with trains every 20 minutes). The village has many coffee shops, a couple of really nice traditional pubs, and some small restaurants. There is also a large Waitrose just a few minutes away, as well as a Tesco Express that stays open late. The room was bright and fairly spacious, with a kitchenette area that included a fridge and kettle, plus an ensuite bathroom with a very good shower. Be aware when booking that the studios do not include cooking facilities or a microwave. These are provided in a communal kitchen/lounge area, which is not made very clear in the advert. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the communal area was very nicely furnished, kept clean, and included a large fully functioning kitchen with all the cooking facilities needed. A communal area was not something I was used to, but it worked very well and we felt very comfortable using it. The management company was friendly and quick to respond to any queries, although communication was by message only. I would definitely stay here again — excellent value for money.

A couple of chairs and a small table in the standard studio room would have made it even better, as it would give guests the opportunity to relax and enjoy a morning coffee in the room rather than having to use the communal area if they preferred.
