Out of all the places I’ve ever stayed at in Japan, this one has got to be the best one ever!! Had the whole place to myself! Also CLEANEST place coming in. The host really takes care of his guests! And who doesn’t love a little puffin! Even though the accommodation was a 10/10 for me, that wasn’t the best part of the stay. If you ever get a chance to meet the host family, count yourself lucky. They are the nicest, most genuine, generous and funny people I’ve ever met. As someone traveling alone and unprepared, they were the only reason I was able to make back to Sapporo alive. They let me have dinner with them, drove me where I needed to be, made me the BEST homemade icecream, and the list goes on. Yes, maybe there’s not a lot going on around town, but if there’s one place to be, it’s the Puffin House. You don’t even need to book a stay here, just come look at it and it’s worth the trip trust me. GO PUFFIN HOUSE FOREVER!
