King George Inn Hotel

We did not see any breakfast being offered. If such was available, it was not advertised in any way. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet. The bed was nicely firm and the shower and bath were very good. Location was within easy walking distance of the main drag and the surrounding area is beautiful.

Was a bit confusing using a remote check in. My phone stopped working in Canada and it was a good thing that my wife's phone got the message regarding check in. Don't know what we would have done had it not worked too. Much prefer dealing with a human, but in this case, it was certainly easy enough once we got the instructions. Could not see any way to lock the front entry door upon leaving. Can be locked from inside, but not from the outside. Probably not a great security problem overall, but just something to look into and possibly give instructions on how to lock it upon leaving. The overall condition of the exterior of the building really needs a lot of work. When we first pulled up to the hotel, we were not even sure if was the correct place due to it's condition. The ground floor windows need to be covered up better to hide the clutter inside and the paint is deteriorating badly. The TV was not hooked up to any sort of streaming or video service. In order for it to work, one must either hook up a Firestick or Chromecast to the tv because without that there is nothing but a blank screen.

From the outside looks like they’re doing some renovating downstairs but the upstairs rooms are amazing. They’re decorated in old furniture not old antique to fit the area. The bathroom has the shampoo, conditioners, and soaps that you would use at your own home, which is a really nice touch. I would definitely stay there again.
