Love everything about this hotel: cleanliness, staffs, fridge in room (not listed when booking), comfy bedsets, great deal (around 600/night), location. And coin laundromat on the 1st floor! Recommended!

★★★☆☆ 3/5 – Lovely staff, but several areas could be improved The hotel itself is nice, and all the staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our five-night stay. Unfortunately, a few things let the experience down. Our original room faced the main road and was very noisy, but the reception staff kindly moved us to a quieter room on the second night, which we really appreciated. The biggest issue was the noise in the corridors. The hard flooring makes footsteps particularly noticeable, especially when staff are wearing heels or hard-soled shoes. There was also quite a lot of commotion and regular loud conversations from housekeeping, including one cleaner having a particularly loud phone conversation on speakerphone while working. I appreciate that staff need to work and communicate, but Bangkok is an international city, and guests may be sleeping or working at different hours. A little more consideration around noise levels would make a big difference. Another frustration was the policy of providing only two pillows for a double bed and charging 100 baht for an additional pillow, as well as 100 baht for a second room key card. It's not about the money, but the principle. Two guests should reasonably be able to have separate key cards without paying extra. A refundable deposit would be understandable, but charging for a card that's returned at checkout seems unnecessary. The Wi-Fi was also frustrating, regularly disconnecting and requiring separate access codes for devices that needed renewing every three days. A simple password or room-based login would be much more convenient. The bed wasn't particularly comfortable, and the duvet appeared to have no removable cover, which raised some concerns about hygiene. The bathroom also had an unpleasant smell. A few simple additions would improve the rooms considerably, such as hooks for wet towels in the bathroom, hooks for coats near the entrance, and either a mirror near the dressing table or a full-length mirror in the room's hallway. Currently, the only mirror is in the bathroom, which isn't particularly convenient when two people are getting ready. These are inexpensive improvements that would make a real difference to guests' comfort. The coffee stations on the floors were also missing supplies. I only discovered at checkout that complimentary coffee was available at reception. Stocking the stations or leaving a couple of coffee sachets in the rooms each day would be a nice touch. On the positive side, all the staff were lovely, and we particularly appreciated the room change and being allowed a late checkout until 2 p.m. on our final day. Overall, I'd say the experience was closer to two stars, but I'm giving three because of the genuinely nice staff and the hotel's potential. Most of the issues are relatively small and inexpensive to address, but collectively they affected our stay. It's a shame, as with a few improvements this could be a really nice place to stay. For a similar price, or just a little more, I think there are better options in the area.
