We had a wonderful stay at Francesca’s house in Castro. We travelled with six people (two adults and four young adults between 17 and 22 years old) and two dogs, and the house was a perfect fit for us. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome. The house was clean and well cared for. The beds were made with a real hotel feeling, and there were lovely towel packages ready for us, including hotel slippers. It was a wonderful first impression. The house is comfortable and well equipped. Downstairs there is a cosy living room with a sofa, chair and dining table. The kitchen is slightly elevated and has everything you need, including a fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The ainconditioning keeps the space nicely cool. Behind the kitchen there is a beautiful bathroom with a whirlpool. Through the back door you reach a small patio, which is a practical place to dry your laundry. There is also a separate bedroom with its own bathroom and air conditioning. Upstairs you will find two more bedrooms and a lovely bathroom. The air conditioning on the hallway keeps both bedrooms comfortable during the night. The washing machine upstairs was very convenient, and Francesca even brought us an extra drying rack because we were staying with six people. A very thoughtful gesture. Communication with Francesca was excellent. She is very friendly, helpful and easy to reach through WhatsApp in English. We even met her by chance in the local supermarket, which was a lovely moment. She was always happy to help with practical questions, such as how to handle the waste. One small thing to mention: there is a church directly opposite the house, and the church bell can be heard regularly. We needed a little time to get used to it, but after a few days it became part of the authentic Italian village atmosphere and was not a problem for us. The location is wonderful. Within walking distance there is a lovely little beach where locals enjoy the beautiful Lake Iseo.
