Very larg, brand new, upscale, immaculate home. Bedroom wing is a l-o-o-o-ng walk from living area so anyone going to bed early won’t be disturbed. Comfortable beds, very nice showers, nice washer and dryer. Quiet, new subdivision and there’s a local restaurant/bar within walking distance. Management responsive when we alerted them about no shower soap or shampoo, and no coasters. Items were brought within an hour. Some other items were not provided but mgmt was notified and said they had noted it; I’m sure that will be rectified - blow dryer, foil/plastic wrap, wooden utensils for nonstick pots/pans). Note: We were the first people to rent the home hence the unavailable items. Nice walking and mountain biking trails very close by too. Wanaka less than a 10 minute drive. View (for now) from the home is mountains and beautiful.

Construction ongoing behind the home and across the street. Luckily we stayed Good Friday afternoon through Easter weekend and left Wednesday morning. The construction was from 8:00 - 5:00 on Tuesday, and at times, extremely noisy and inescapable in any room. We only had to deal with it Tuesday due to the long holiday weekend. I would have been really disappointed had we stayed M-F and heard the noise every day. This construction will be an ongoing thing based on the number of empty lots by the home and the fact that the house being built across the street doesn’t even have the foundation completed. Once the surrounding lots and under construction homes are completed the beautiful mountain views will be pretty much gone. Other thing to note: we had to pick up, and return, the key to the management company in town. It’s quite inconvenient and especially so since we checked in during the Warbirds air show so traffic/parking was ugly. I asked why there was no lockbox and was told it’s to make sure the homes are vacated by 10 am. Not sure why they don’t just have it in the contract that if you’re still there when cleaners arrive you’ll pay an extra fee of $xxx. I’ve never had a rental require a key pickup offsite but I have had them state you’ll pay a fee should you overstay checkout time.
