Oat & Olive Apartments - Alnwick

Location perfect for accessing shops, bars and seeing Alnwick. Very modern

The kitchen was poorly finished, door broken off the dishwasher. Only 2 wine glasses provided, very minimal plates and cutlery. There were no pillow cases provided for the 2nd spare ones. The location was noisy in the early hours, it’s a beautiful property just hasn’t been finished properly and could have been cleaned more throughly. We both felt there could have been some additional condiments such as tea/coffee, salt/pepper and bin bags, hand wash filled up etc.

The property was in an excellent location and was decorated throughout to a high standard.

We stayed in apartment 2 and unfortunately had an issue with the shower not working, we contacted the owner who had someone from the maintenance team attend but as it couldn’t be fixed they allowed us to use the shower in the vacant apartment above. Not ideal but we appreciate these things can happen and at least there was a solution.

The place has had a lot of money spent on the refurb, but it hasn't been finished off well, it looks like the usual big rush at the end and things haven't been finished off well, masking tape on floors, plaster splashes on windows etc just needs a really good clean, the builders dust is still there. Although I have to say its still a really nice place to stay.

The location and the interior design.

The cleaning was not up to scratch. We cleaned the kitchen sink when we got there. There’s dirt under the beds. There were previous guests toiletries still in shower. A dog bowl under couch. Even a note from a previous guest saying ‘clean me’ written on window.
