Apartament Kalwaryjska

The apartment was absolutely wonderful and beautifully decorated. Our one-week stay coincided with a heatwave in Kraków, and the air conditioning cooled the apartment efficiently. The kitchen and bathroom were perfectly equipped. The apartment is located in the lovely Podgórze area, which has plenty of really good restaurants. We also enjoyed breakfast several times at the nearby Poranki cafe. It was also just a short walk from the apartment to the parks and the banks of the Wisła river. We also liked that the area wasn't as 'touristy' as the Old Town or Kazimierz. The rumbling of the tram didn't bother us either; in fact, it felt like a cozy city sound. The area also had excellent transport links, whether by public transport or by taxi.

The bed was too wide for the size of the room. There was a nightstand only on the left side of the bed. On the right side, there was only a 10 cm space, so there was no room for a nightstand. There was a power outlet on the right side, but an extension cord had been run underneath the bed to the left side in a way that made it easy to trip over. Additionally, the fitted sheet kept bunching up because it was too narrow.. This does not affect my overall rating, because the apartment was wonderful.

The stay was excellent. I particularly loved the spacious, comfortable bed and the very nice, clean bathroom. Having access to a washing machine along with a drying rack was a massive plus, making it incredibly easy and convenient to wash my clothes during the trip

What I didn't like was that the apartment is on the street side. When a tram passes by, you can notice the building slightly shaking, which could disturb light sleepers. It took me the first day just to get used to it. Additionally, the front door is quite thin, which allows a lot of hallway sound to leak through.
