J’ai tout aimé dans cet appartement, il était confortable

Dommage qu’il a pas une machine à laver dedans, sinon c’était bien passé

The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The location was great, close to the city center.

The location was a little difficult to find at first, and the entrance doors were a bit difficult to unlock. Other than that, everything was great.

L'appartamento si è presentato pulito, il letto comodo, ottima la posizione vicino a Piazza Demokratia dove c'e' la metro e diverse fermate per gli autobus, compresa quella da e per l'aeroporto ( 5 minuti a piedi ). Disponibile il frigo anche se la temperatura non era freddissima. 2 asciugamani grandi, due piccoli, il necessario per lavarsi ed un ottimo climatizzatore. Gestori molto disponibili per avermi preso un adattatore di spine italiano.

Le due serrature di ingresso andrebbero sistemate, ogni volta c'era da trafficare per aprirle. Impossibile cucinare, l'aggeggio con due piatre ed un fornetto è difficile da usare. Locale umido che lascia un odore non buonissimo. Andrebbe messa una insegna esterna all'entrata dalla strada, perch' la prima volta non è facilissimo individuarla. La visuale dal terrazzo non è bella perchè c'e' un edificio diroccato. Comunque appartamento silenzioso, non ci sono locali sotto in strada. Basta qualche accorgimento in piu' per migliorare l'appartamento.

The owner was exceptionally kind, helpful and professional throughout our stay. The location is fantastic, just a three-minute walk from the main public transport connections, near places to go out, with buses going both to the city centre and to the beaches outside Thessaloniki. The bed was comfortable, there was always hot water, and the air conditioning was clean, powerful and kept the apartment pleasantly cool. The fridge was also fully functional.

There are, however, a few things that could be improved. To be fair, some of these issues are outside the owner's control. There is a construction site directly opposite the balcony, which makes the view rather neglected. Above it, there is also a pigeon loft which can be extremely noisy in the mornings. The balconies and the outdoor area were quite dirty from pigeon droppings, particularly the pavement and the outdoor table. The bathroom could also benefit from some renovation, as it looks rather old and worn, although it was clearly cleaned and hygienic. We also had some difficulty with the locking system for the various doors, including the main entrance, the interior door and the apartment door. There was also a strong feeling of dampness and an unpleasant smell in the building's corridor, so better ventilation could make a significant difference. Finally, we encountered a considerable mosquito problem during our first few nights, with more than 20 mosquitoes inside the accommodation and on the walls. We were bitten several times. Installing a mosquito screen on the balcony door or providing a mosquito repellent device would be a very helpful improvement. Overall, the owner was wonderful and the location is excellent. With a few improvements to the bathroom, ventilation, door locks and mosquito protection, the accommodation could be considerably more comfortable.
