Royal Horizon Beijo Mansão - Ponta Sino

I was nervous about my stay after reading all the reviews and I would suggest ignoring a lot of them. Staff were friendly, helpful and always bustling to keep the place clean. They try their best to stay on top of the dishes and pool areas, but it may not be the minute you stand up from your chair. I thought it was all reasonable and don’t know why people complained in the reviews. The views were amazing. I had a room that walked out to a pool, which was a nice surprise. The fresh air was amazing. Keep in mind everything must be imported to the island so I think it’s best to have realistic expectations. There might be some stains or worn appearances on towels, sheets etc, but it is all clean. I didn’t have any issues getting sick and didn’t see anyone having issues with the food. I think a lot of the complaints about the food situation are really from the guests’ behavior. People using the tongs for everything instead of one dish, picking up items with their hands and just being gross people. The staff did an amazing job refreshing the food and keeping up with the demand. The pizza is fantastic. Food is standard for all-inclusive. You’ll find some amazing things and others not so good. There are 3 à la carte restaurants onsite and you can get a reservation one time at each restaurant (French, Asian, and Italian). Overall I enjoyed my stay and it was very relaxing.

For me I like swimming in warm water (Caribbean warm), so the pool was too cold for me. Tried to get in a few times but just couldn’t handle being in long. There was mold in my room and I could smell the mustiness when I would first walk in, but I left the patio door open for fresh air and it solved the issue for me. The outside air is amazing. If you want to swim in the ocean I recommend either the side near RIU or walking closer to Santa Maria. The hotel is on the tip where the winds seem to be the strongest so the water where the chairs are can be dangerous and rough for regular swimming. For the à la carte restaurants I would like it better if you could pick something from each category. At the Asian you could try a starter or sushi, but not both. At the Italian you could get a primi or secondi but not both. That’s not very Italian 🤣 I think people should get the full experience out of each restaurant. Alcohol that’s included isn’t very good, but I turned the wine into weinschorlers and it made it a lot better. You can pay for other type of alcohol if you want.
