Location (close to Moorfields Eye Hospital) cleanliness, all the kitchen equipment worked, the balcony was a godsend.

The heat! It was 36 degrees when we were there. There was one fan, that’s not enough. If there was ever a flat that needed portable aircon it’s this one. Only one door opens to the balcony. It would have helped to be able to open the other two also. This is a duplex apartment, meaning the bedroom is upstairs. Unfortunately the toilet is downstairs. This isn’t clear in the property description and did make things less relaxed for my disabled husband who had just had eye surgery including an anaesthetic. Finally the booking in process. I was 3 minutes early on the hottest day of the year and they made me wait that 3 minutes to get the key which was just pedantic. That said, I would book it again, but bring more fans!

On the positive side, the location is excellent, and the building itself is nice. The apartment has good potential, but it really needs some cosmetic renovation and better maintenance.

We were a bit disappointed with our stay. The apartment looked beautiful in the photos, and the excellent reviews gave us high expectations, but unfortunately the reality was quite different. The apartment feels very worn out and in need of renovation. The wooden floor was damaged in several places and squeaked loudly. It was also dusty and not properly cleaned, with greasy surfaces in the kitchen. The iron was unsafe to use. Although it technically worked, it damaged one of my expensive shirts. I would strongly recommend replacing it with a newer and safer one. The apartment became very hot, and it was difficult to regulate the temperature. Not all of the windows could be opened, which made ventilation difficult. There were also no proper wardrobes or closets, making it inconvenient to store clothes for three guests
