Eisenhower resided here for 3 months as he trained officers for trench warfare after the United States entered World War I. Nestled within what was once the heart of a U.S. Army Cavalry Post, This cozy yet spacious one-bedroom apartment in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia offers modern comfort with a touch of history.
This space provides an inviting and comfortable living room - with ample seating and a large screen TV, it's the perfect spot for relaxing after a day of exploring. The living room sectional sofa and 2 comfy armchairs, as well views of Barnhardt Circle Park, will make it the go to place for family and friends. The large bedroom has a queen size bed, sitting area, dresser, TV and direct access to newly renovated tile bathroom. There also a secondary room, off the bedroom, which could be used as an extra bedroom/nursery, office or extra closet space. Enjoy meals in a bright kitchen, equipped with full size appliances, and windows overlooking the stunningly renovated officer homes and original polo field. Door from kitchen also leads to covered porch overlooking the park.

Originally completed in 1904, the cavalry post was once the “Largest and Finest” in the U.S., housing 50 officers, 1,100 enlisted men, and 1,000 horses. The Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park is the oldest and largest of America’s Civil War Parks.
