Other Details to Note:

WIFI: The wifi network is open - no password is required.

PARKING: We always have the driveway plowed for guests but when the weather is very cold and snowy/icy, guests must park at the top of the drive - especially if you don't have a 4x4 vehicle that can handle the incline of the driveway in slippery conditions.

TRASH: Please do not leave any trash outside -we share our woodland home with bears, raccoons and all sorts of other creatures that like to hunt for trash! Please put all trash in the indoor trash can and let us know if it gets full during your stay!

STRING LIGHTS: The outdoor string lights are timed to come on automatically for a few hours when it gets dark. To turn them on or off, you can ask Google in the kitchen by saying “Hey Google, turn on/off the string lights.

HEATING: There are two heating/AC units in the main area of the house - one upstairs, one downstairs, each with its own remote. When the weather is very cold, please keep the big downstairs unit on around 70 on the auto setting to help prevent freeze ups.

There is a small heating unit in the small downstairs bedroom with its own remote - this can be turned on/off as needed if you are using this room.

The underfloor heating in the bathroom should be left on during the winter months (controlled by thermostat panel on left hand side of bathroom door). The white infrared heating unit on the wall is controlled remotely and automatically set to come on when the temperature drops - please do not alter or unplug.

PELLET STOVE: Please do not use this without asking us first - it has very specific operating instructions and may not always be available for use.

RECORD PLAYERS: The record players and records upstairs are the host’s private collection and not available for use by guests.

WINDOWS: Please leave all windows/patio doors closed during the winter months to help keep the cabin warm! The back patio sliding door needs to be locked to close/seal it securely.

MUSIC: The Google Home speakers are controlled by the hub in the kitchen - you can ask it to play music throughout the house and also use the screen to select which speakers you'd like.
