About this house rental

Summary:

Bright 3-bedroom home in a quiet neighborhood, your perfect month+ getaway to Oregon's wine country. Comfortably sleeps 6. Features a private fenced backyard with a BBQ, a cozy gas fireplace, a dedicated workspace, and a jetted tub. Ideal for families or groups looking to explore McMinnville and relax in style. Hosted by Cascadia Getaways for professional local support.

The Space:

Parkview Place is a 1,541 sq ft single-story home on a quiet, tree-lined street in McMinnville — set up specifically for 30+ night stays in Oregon wine country. Across the street is a park with walking paths and mature trees, which is the house's namesake and one of the better daily-life features we manage at any of our wine country properties.

Good fit for couples doing a wine country month, semi-retired travelers, relocation and corporate housing stays, house hunters testing McMinnville before buying, and dog owners.

Two workspaces. Both guest bedrooms have built-in desk setups under windows looking out to the trees — a real option for couples where both partners work remotely, or for a guest who wants a separate work room from the bedroom. Wifi is high speed, strong enough for video calls and remote work.

Open-concept main living. Vaulted ceilings, large windows looking out over the backyard, cream sectional sofa facing a stone gas fireplace with a flat-screen TV. Light wood dining table with bench seating and black chairs. Easy to settle into for a month.

Modern kitchen built for real cooking. Quartz countertops, light wood cabinets, stainless appliances, gas cooktop on the island (with bar seating), built-in oven and microwave, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator. The window over the sink looks into the backyard. Standard cookware, knives, and dishes for six.

- King bed

- En-suite double-vanity bath

- Louvered saloon doors between bedroom and bath (something to note for light-sleepers; they're decorative, not soundproof)

- Both with closets, blackout-capable curtains

Second full bathroom with wood vanity and tub/shower combo, located in the hallway between the guest bedrooms.

Dedicated laundry room with full-size top-loading washer and dryer. Detergent provided.

Outdoor space.

Guest Access:

Guests will have full and private access to the entire home, backyard, and all listed amenities during their stay.

Self Check-In: A secure keyless entry system allows for a seamless self-check-in process at your convenience after the designated check-in time.

Parking: Two dedicated parking spaces are available for your use in the private driveway.

Restricted Area: Please note, the garage is reserved for owner use and is not accessible to guests.

The Neighborhood:

Parkview Place sits in a quiet residential neighborhood on the west side of McMinnville. Across the street is a wide green space with paved walking paths and mature trees — the house's namesake. For a month-long stay, that means a daily walk that doesn't require getting in the car.

Downtown McMinnville (Historic Third Street): This is McMinnville's destination food and wine row — over 20 tasting rooms, several genuinely great restaurants (Pura Vida Cocina, La Rambla, Nick's Italian Café, Thistle), independent bookstore, vintage shops, and the McMenamins Hotel Oregon.

The wine itself: McMinnville is at the geographic heart of the Willamette Valley AVA, with 200+ wineries within a 30-minute drive. The Yamhill-Carlton, Dundee Hills, and Eola-Amity Hills AVAs all spread out from here — a different vineyard region every day for a month without repeating yourself.

Living essentials:

Full grocery (Safeway, WinCo, Roth's, Harvest Fresh natural foods): all within 5-10 minutes

Willamette Valley Medical Center: 10 minutes

Gym, pharmacy, hardware, post office: all in town

Linfield University campus for walking and events

Notable nearby:

Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum (home of the Spruce Goose): 14 minutes

Erin Hanson Gallery: 10 minutes

Durant at Red Ridge Farms (vineyard, olive oil, lavender): 18 minutes

Newberg (Allison Inn, more wineries): 20 minutes

Carlton (boutique tasting row): 20 minutes

Day trips during your month:

Oregon Coast: 60-75 minutes west

Portland: 60 minutes northeast

Salem and Oregon's capitol: 45 minutes south

Silver Falls State Park: 75 minutes

Mt. Hood: 2.5 hours

Getting Around:

You'll need a car for a stay here. McMinnville is a small city by national standards (~36,000 people), and while the home's neighborhood is quiet and walkable for daily exercise, the things that make a wine country month worth it — tasting rooms, downtown dining, grocery runs, day trips — all require driving.

Parking: Driveway holds two cars comfortably. Plenty of on-street parking on this quiet residential street if more vehicles are needed.

Around town: McMinnville has limited public transit (YCTA buses), which is useful in a pinch but not practical for daily errands.

Wine country logistics: If your stay involves serious tasting days, the area has several reliable wine tour services (Black Tie, Grape Escape, EcoTours of Oregon) that handle driving so you can taste without worrying. Ask us for current recommendations.

Air travel: Portland International (PDX) is about 75 minutes. Easy monthly arrival/departure.

Other Things to Note:

Security: For your safety and peace of mind, exterior security cameras are located on the property, monitoring the perimeter.

Garage Access: The garage is strictly for owner storage and is not available for guest use or parking.

Professional Management: This home is professionally managed to ensure a high standard of quality and guest service.

Interaction with Guests:

We are here 24/7 to support you on your getaway! Our office is a short drive away in Newberg so we are close by if you need anything.
