Residenza Pasolini

Location Bus 545 is right outside the complex, less than 10 minutes to Roma Tiburtina for other transfers. Very convenient for getting around. But it isn't very close to the main sights in town. Apartment Very spacious and clean apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is an elevator, which is fantastic if you have heavy bags. Livingroom has a very large couch with a pull-out bed. Very comfortable. Livingroom has an a/c unit. The apartment is carefully designed and decorated. There are lots of games for the kids and books too. The surround sound in the livingroom is awesome. Kitchen Very fancy kitchen with induction cooktop, built-in microwave and oven. Lots of glassware. There's a Nespresso machine and kettle, complete with all kinds of kitchen necessities. Bedrooms Very comfortable beds. Master bedroom had an a/c unit but the other one only has a ceiling fan. All the windows have electric shutters that can block out the light. There are plenty of outlets for our chargers and electronics. Bathrooms One bedroom is a master suite, complete with front-loading washer & dryer in the walk-in closet. They work great. Very strong water pressure in the shower. Also, it's instant heating for the hot water so you don't have to worry about running out of hot water (which was always a pain for us when too many people have to shower and there's not enough hot water).

Electricity - Everytime the oven is turned on, it trips the circuit breaker. It almost had to be on by itself. A/c in the master bedroom - there's no water outlet so when the water tank in the a/c unit is full, which only takes about 3-4 hours of running, the a/c turns off and has to be reset at the circuit breaker. Huge hassle for me. Cleaning supplies - We stayed for 7 nights and there weren't any kitchen rags or cleaning supplies left out for us. Kitchen cookware - although the kitchen is fully stocked, the pots and pans left a lot to be desired. They were badly scratched and cooking utensils were scarece. The knives were so dull that I couldn't cut oranges with them. The dishwasher was also not quite clean, but we only used it as a drying rack. Despite everything, I think it's a great rental, especially if you're looking for a home away from home. It feels like a lived-in home rather than an empty shell filled with Ikea furniture.
