Nice, clean and spacious place. Comfortable and had everything we needed. Nice place for a family. Owners also responsive and helpful.

Absolutely brilliant stay, we were only there for one night but wish we had longer!! Primo spot, everything you could need in the house. The views were stunning. Lovely and warm!!!! Loved it. Awesome hosts to go along with it 😁😁

It was not clean, and this was disappointing as the previous reviews were so excellent. The double on the main bedroom has a very hard mattress and if one of occupants moves, the other person does to. There a fire alarm that regularly flashes right an above the bed. This is absolutely unnecessary location to have one (it could be in the entrance to the bedroom) and disturbs sleep. There were dead flies in several places throughout the house. There is a window pane missing in the kitchen cabinet. The lighting in the main living areas is awful. Way too bright! We had to leave them off in the evening as we felt uncomfortable with them on. There were no instructions about how to enter the property but the door was open so that’s how we left it as well.

We stayed at Shinnes for the Irishman Rally based in Farlie. The house exceeded expectations. Warm, spacious and comfortable. Lovely road drive into the house with great rural views of typical NZ farming and the Southern Alps. The local Kimbell pub is a short drive from the house were enjoyed excellent meals and service. Thank-you we will be back.
