Cookies Den

We absolutely loved Cookies Den. It was very cosy and homely decorated with a lot of love and details. From fluffy towels, over cooking/ cleaning up basics, a perfectly well working heating, fabulous games that my kids wanted to play over and over again, books, dvds, garden furniture, plants to even a water bowl for the dog. The location is absolutely amazing just behind the high streets where you have everything and a 8min walk from the train station. But calm enough to enjoy the slow village pace. We absolutely loved it and kids would have liked to move in for good. :) It was just the three of us & dog visiting this time but it’s perfectly well prepared with 3 bedrooms and double beds for up to 6 people (also in terms of sitting space in living room and at dining table). The hikes directly accesible from the property (or within a few meters) are absolutely stunning. We couldn’t recommend this property and place enough and really didn’t want to leave it. ❤️

For us with the on of off rainy weather forecast a hair dryer would have been the cherry on top. (But we enquired before and brought our from home). The only other thing is the property seems managed by an agency and whilst Sarah was fantastic the others were a bit cold/ short (eg do not know local area and don’t really know the property/ what’s in it (eg salt/ pepper). Which before arriving really threw me off. But as soon as arriving in the property this feeling changed and we felt very welcomed by the love the owner had put into decorating the property and all the details. So don’t be scared off. ❤️

Perfect location for us, right in town and great access to walks. Three good size double bedrooms, parking space and secure garden for our dog. Beds are very comfortable and there are plenty of towels.

This is not a dislike just a recommendation - it would be good to have a bit more cutlery - we had family who live nearby round for dinner and they had to bring a few knives and forks - that’s all though, we would absolutely return 🙂

The house is wonderfully located at the centre of Church Stretton, so all the shops and amenities are on your doorstep but the glorious Shropshire countryside is just minutes away. Cookie's Den is a very comfortable, well equipped house and it is an excellent base for a holiday. The hosts were quick to respond when I had a minor issue with the TV set up (only important because of the World Cup). The house is in a quiet close and has parking for 3 cars if needed. I will certainly look to book here again.

Not a dislike but the only change I would recommend is that hand rails be put around the bath for older guests as the shower is inclusive with a bath.
