Kijani Arusha Airport Lodge

My party is a research team that works in Ngorongoro Conservation Area and we are always looking for a conveniently located, affordable, and comfortable option upon our arrival at JRO. Kijani fits the bill on all accounts. It is near the western edge of Arusha, so we can easily start our trip to NCA. The breakfast was excellent; the rooms were clean and comfortable; having extra toiletries in the bathrooms (soap, tooth brushes, tooth paste, etc.) was very helpful. The other meals were also of high quality and the staff is very attentive.

The kitchen staff and the chef were amazing, as they were able to prepare a wide variety of meals to order. However, it would be helpful to have a menu with prices available to diners with both local (e.g., peri peri chicken) and tourist (pizza, burgers) options. Signage that directs guests to different parts of the property (e.g., dining room, reception) would also be helpful. The drinks are located in a refridgerator in the dining room, and it is unclear whether guests are free to take what they want or whether staff will bring them. We did not see any alcoholic options.
