Located in the heart of Issigeac. Spacious traditional property, with everything we could possibly need.

A really beautiful house in the centre of Issigeac. There are three levels, the ground floor has two bedrooms, a toilet, a bathroom and the washing machine. The terrace opens off one of the bedrooms. The middle floor is a great kitchen , living, dining, then on the top floor is another bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped. Lorene was a very helpful host and having the keybox meant we could arrive in our own time. Despite being in the centre of the village it was absolutely silent at night, even with the windows open. Issigeac is a beautiful village with a great market on Sundays. It was easy to park within about 150m of the accommodation.

The combination of hot weather and no shutters made the house hot in the evenings. The air-conditioning is only a portable air-conditioner in the attic bedroom and to be honest it did not cool the room so we elected to sleep on the ground floor which, with the fan the host kindly provided, was pleasant. By opening all the upstairs windows when we went to bed the house did cool down by morning. The other thing people need to be aware of is when removing your rubbish at the end of the stay, a condition of the stay, you need to downlaod an app and pay a fee of 5.88 euro to get the communal bin to open. Lorene was very apologetic but this is the new system in the Dordogne.
