The property is located directly on the river and the Mosel cycling path passes directly in front of the property. Since I was there to cycle the path, this was an ideal location. The owner was there to greet me when I arrived and was also there at check-out. Both processes were smooth and efficient. The property was very clean and bright and well kept. The apartment was spacious and well appointed.
While the property address is listed as Bernkastel Kues, the property is actually in an adjacent town called Wehlen, which is a district of Bernkastel-Kues. This was not a problem as it is a short bike ride or drive into the heart of Bernkastel-Kues and the town itself is very picturesque and historical. It also has a bridge across the river so it provides easy access to both sides of the Mosel while avoiding the congestion on the bridge in Bernkastel.
