Luxury Kensington Apt - Walk to Harrods

Booked this apartment for five days for a family consisting of two adults and two teenagers. The apartment is modern and bright with a good location in a good area. It has two rooms as well as a kitchen and bathroom. A bedroom with a TV and a slightly larger room with a bed, dining table and sofa and also a TV. The kitchen has a fridge, freezer, hob, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and washing machine. A caring host has also made sure that there are coffee capsules for the coffee machine and tea bags if you prefer to drink tea. There is a router with WiFi that you can connect to and on the TV there is, for example, Netflix if the children want to watch a bit of TV between everything else that can be done in that week London. The apartment is on the fourth floor and from time to time the lifts were broken so you need to be able to walk four flights of stairs up if you are going to book this nice apartment. On the entrance floor there is a staffed reception where they were always friendly and answered any questions. Fabio, who we had contact with as a host, was always quick to answer questions digitally and was both friendly and service-minded. From the apartment it is a short walk to the nearest tube station at South Kensington. Both the Piccadilly, Circle and District lines pass here, which means that you can quickly get to most of the sights if you don't want to walk. The Piccadilly line also goes directly to Heathrow, which is convenient if you are flying to and from London. Next to the entrance to the house where the apartment is located, there is a small grocery store. Perfect if you want to cook something extra at home instead of eating at a restaurant. A little further walk (about 5 minutes) is a larger Waitrose grocery store where you can find most of what you need to get by yourself.

The location was good, although we didn’t expect a big complex with mixed housing and no views or outlook. It was roomy enough. The owners let us check in an hour early.

The main lift wasn’t working the entire time so it was a long walk to the back of the building complex and long wait to get the back lift. Broken bathroom window. No mattress protector. Only one wine glass. No tea or milk provided. No instructions for washing machine. No concierge or front desk available as stated in features as it was private property.
