• Sleeps up to three guests, whichever sleeping arrangement you use.

A full kitchen with a gas hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, kettle, filter coffee machine, blender, cookware and tableware. We supply coffee, tea, sugar, two bottles of water, a welcome snack basket, and cooking basics including seasoning, oil and vinegar. A washing machine and separate tumble dryer are in the kitchen.
Comfort and connectivity
Air conditioning provides cooling and heating in the bedroom and living area. Electric shutters and curtains provide privacy after dark. There is a smart TV in each room, with free standard cable. You can also use your own accounts for Netflix and other streaming services. Wi-Fi reaches approximately 28 Mbps, with actual speeds varying. The included allowance is 35 GB per week or 140 GB per month; extra data and speed upgrades are available for an additional charge.
Bathroom and garden
The bathroom has an enclosed shower and electric hot water. Both indoor living spaces overlook your private garden, with outdoor seating and a large sun umbrella. The garden gate is your private entrance. The gardener visits on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; we coordinate access with you.

You have exclusive use of the entire apartment and its private garden. The compound streets and green grounds are shared residential spaces. Self check-in is through a lockbox at the garden gate. The apartment is on the ground floor, reached along the side of the building. The route from street parking through the garden gate into the apartment is step-free, including the door thresholds. Free street parking is available inside the compound, without an assigned space. Visitors and ride-hailing drivers use Entrance 2.
Your neighbourhood
Set within Karma Residence, a residential compound in Sheikh Zayed, the apartment offers a relaxed base with shared green grounds for a stroll. Mazar Mall and City Walk are nearby for everyday shopping, cafés and places to eat, with grocery and meal delivery available when you would rather stay in. It is a convenient base for exploring Sheikh Zayed and the wider west Cairo area.
Free, unassigned street parking is available inside the compound. Use Entrance 2 for visitors, Uber and Careem. Approximate off-peak driving times from the house guide: City Walk and Mazar Mall 3 minutes; Hyper One 8; Mall of Arabia 10; Arkan Plaza 15; Smart Village 20; Mall of Egypt 25; Grand Egyptian Museum and Sphinx Airport 30; Pyramids 35; Zamalek 45; Cairo Airport and New Cairo 60. Traffic can substantially increase these times.

We speak Arabic and English; Sarah also speaks German.
Arrival and departure Check-in is from 3pm and checkout is by noon. Ask in advance about earlier arrival or later departure; these depend on availability.
Please review before booking
• Couples where either partner is an Arab national must provide an official marriage certificate before check-in.
• Mixed-gender gatherings of unmarried guests are not permitted in the apartment.
• All overnight guests must be registered before arrival. We require each adult guest’s ID in advance for compound registration. Visitors must leave by 10pm. If you are unsure whether these requirements apply to your group, please message us before booking.
Quiet hours and house rules
Quiet hours are 5pm–10am: normal evening activity is fine, but please avoid loud music, noisy appliances and loud garden conversations. Smoking is permitted only in the garden, using the ashtray. No parties or events. Pets are not permitted, subject to applicable assistance-animal requirements.
Services charged separately
For stays longer than ten days, a required mid-stay clean costs USD 25 per visit; we agree access with you. Additional cleaning is also USD 25 per visit. A crib or stroller can be requested in advance for USD 5 per night per item, subject to availability. Crib sizes are 30 × 80 cm for the portable crib and 66 × 124 cm for the larger cot.
Internet
Wi-Fi reaches approximately 28 Mbps; actual speeds vary. The included allowance is 35 GB per week or 140 GB per month. Internet extras: an additional 100 GB at standard speed is USD 10; the 70 Mbps / 250 GB option is USD 15; the 100 Mbps / 250 GB option is USD 20. Add-ons follow the same weekly/monthly period as the included allowance. Please request upgrades before arrival if possible.
Lost keys
A lost key or access card costs USD 50, handled through the applicable Vrbo process.

One exterior camera above the garden gate records only the entrance approach. It does not record the private garden or apartment interior. There is no smoke alarm and no carbon monoxide alarm. Power interruptions can occur; please contact us if you need help. Please keep food and drinks out of the bedrooms, switch off the A/C when you go out, and handle the furniture with care without rearranging it. Please put toilet paper and wipes in the bin beside the toilet. The gardener visits on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays; we coordinate access with you.
