About this apartment rental
Settle into a characterful three-bedroom home in Zayed 2000 residential compound, near Arkan Plaza. Family vintage pieces, patterned rugs and four private balconies give it a warm, lived-in feel. Sleeps up to eight, with two bathrooms, generous living space, an equipped kitchen and a washer. The private third bedroom doubles as a lounge/workspace, with a 160 cm sofa bed and sliding glass doors. Enjoy free parking inside the compound, self check-in and hosts nearby.

Sleeping arrangements
• Main bedroom: one 160 cm-wide bed for two, with a sitting area, clothing storage and a smart TV.
• Second bedroom: two 140 cm-wide double beds, accommodating up to four guests.
• Third bedroom: a 160 cm-wide sofa bed for two. This room also serves as a lounge and workspace; its sliding glass doors close for privacy.
• Sleeps up to eight guests. The gallery shows the third bedroom as a lounge and with the bed prepared. Please tell us before arrival if you would like the sofa bed prepared.
Space to gather
The main living room has generous seating, books and a smart TV. The dining table seats six, and the desk is in the third bedroom.
Kitchen and laundry
An equipped kitchen with a refrigerator/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, blender, cookware and tableware. We supply coffee, tea, sugar, two water bottles, a snack basket, and cooking essentials including seasoning, oil and vinegar. A washing machine, drying racks and iron are provided.
Comfort and connectivity
Air conditioning is provided, with heating through the A/C or a heater. Both smart TVs have free standard cable. You can also use your own accounts for streaming apps. Wi-Fi reaches up to 28 Mbps, with actual speeds varying. The included allowance is 35 GB per week or 140 GB per month; extra data and faster packages are available for an additional charge.
Bathrooms and balconies
Two bathrooms: one with a bathtub and overhead shower, and one with a separate shower area. Each bedroom has its own balcony, and a fourth opens off the reception. The furnished balconies shown in the photos offer places to sit outside, with views of the compound grounds and surrounding neighbourhood.

You have the entire apartment and all four balconies to yourselves. The building entrance, lift and residential compound grounds are shared. The apartment is on the second floor. There are stairs before the lift and a change in floor level inside the apartment, shown in the photos. The route is not step-free. Free, unassigned street parking is available inside the compound outside the building. Spaces are not reserved. Self check-in is by lockbox; arrival instructions are shared before your stay.

Zayed 2000 is a residential compound in Sheikh Zayed, convenient for dining and shopping around Arkan Plaza and the wider west Cairo area. Grocery and meal delivery are available.
Approximate off-peak driving times from our house guide: Arkan Plaza 6 minutes; Plaza España 7; Mall of Arabia 12; Hyper One 14; Dandy Mall 20; Mall of Egypt and Smart Village 25; the Grand Egyptian Museum and Sphinx Airport 30; Zamalek and the Pyramids of Giza 35; Cairo International Airport 60. These are driving estimates, not walking times, and traffic can increase them substantially.

Your digital house guide covers the everyday details, and you can message us through Vrbo whenever you need help. We prepare and look after the home ourselves with our co-hosting team. We speak Arabic and English; Sarah also speaks German.
Arrival and departure
Check-in is from 3pm and checkout is by noon. Ask in advance about earlier arrival or later departure; these depend on availability.
Please review before booking
• Couples where either partner is an Arab national must provide an official marriage certificate before check-in.
• Mixed-gender gatherings of unmarried guests are not permitted in the apartment.
• All overnight guests must be registered before arrival. We require each adult guest’s ID in advance for compound registration. Visitors must leave by 10pm. If you are unsure whether these requirements apply to your group, please message us before booking.
Quiet hours and house rules
Quiet hours are 5pm–10am: normal evening activity is fine, but please avoid loud music, noisy appliances and loud balcony conversations. Smoking is permitted only on the balconies, using the ashtray. No parties or events. Pets are not permitted, subject to applicable assistance-animal requirements.
Services charged separately
For stays longer than ten days, a required mid-stay clean costs USD 25 per visit; we agree access with you. Additional cleaning is also USD 25 per visit. A crib or stroller can be requested in advance for USD 5 per night per item, subject to availability. Crib sizes are 30 × 80 cm for the portable crib and 66 × 124 cm for the larger cot.
Internet
Wi-Fi reaches up to 28 Mbps; actual speeds vary. The included allowance is 35 GB per week or 140 GB per month. Internet extras: an additional 100 GB at standard speed is USD 10; the 70 Mbps / 250 GB option is USD 15; the 100 Mbps / 250 GB option is USD 20. Add-ons follow the same weekly/monthly period as the included allowance. Please request upgrades before arrival if possible.
Lost keys
A lost key costs USD 50, handled through the applicable Vrbo process.
Safety and practical details
An exterior camera above the home’s main entrance door faces the shared hallway. There are no cameras inside the apartment. There are no smoke or carbon monoxide alarms in the apartment. Power interruptions can occur; please contact us if you need help. Please keep food and drinks out of the bedrooms, switch off the A/C when you go out, and handle the furniture with care without rearranging it. Please put toilet paper and wipes in the bin beside the toilet.
