Thoughtfully laid out across 1,140 square feet and beautifully styled, this three-bedroom home offers lake views out front and glowing bay sunsets in the evening, all within walking distance of Cinnamon Shore South’s favorite gathering spots. Inspired by the New Orleans phrase “Laissez les bon temps rouler,” Bon Temps invites guests of all ages to relax, reconnect, and let the good times roll.
AMENITIES: Ideally located near South Town Lake, Neighborly Pool, and South Town Square, Bon Temps places you close to pools, green space, fishing, and dining. The front porch overlooks the lake, making it a perfect perch to watch children fish or simply enjoy the peaceful water views. Nearby, you’ll find the South Town Square restaurant and coffee trailer, adding to the ease and charm of this central location. Family-friendly amenities include baby gates, a high chair, sound machines, and beach towels to simplify your stay.
MAIN LIVING SPACE: The main living area features vaulted ceilings, warm coastal decor, and an efficient floor plan that feels both open and inviting. Comfortable seating includes a sleeper sofa and two armchairs, creating a relaxed space for movie nights or conversation. The eat-in kitchen is well equipped with GE appliances and pantry cabinets, offering seating for six indoors, while outdoor dining for four extends the living space onto the porch. Direct access to porches and the upstairs balcony allows guests to flow easily between indoor and outdoor living.

The property manager was adequately helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was somewhat unhappy with the location.
I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

We loved how beautiful the homes are and the scenery really is stunning—there were definitely relaxing moments in a great environment. That said, I wouldn’t return until the construction clears up. Throughout the day there was a steady stream of construction vehicles and the usual disturbances that come with active building, which took away from the vacation feel.Another challenge was convenience. There isn’t much nearby, so you have to drive for almost everything—dinner, drinks, groceries, gas, and even souvenirs. We rented a golf cart, which helped for beach trips and hauling items, but if you’re going into Port A it still adds time and makes simple errands feel like a mission.It also felt like the South area could benefit from more on-site conveniences like Cinnamon Shore North has attempted—although even there, the shops were unreliable. One morning we went to grab coffee at the Cinnamon Shore North coffee shop and it was closed, so we ended up packing up the golf cart and driving all the way back to South.Overall: gorgeous homes and scenery, but between the construction and the lack of reliable amenities, it didn’t feel like the best value for the money. With what you spend to stay here, a stronger infrastructure and more consistent conveniences would make a big difference.
