In the heart of Autoire, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France, this ancient dovecote is being brought back to life through a charming renovation. Steeped in history, it offers a soothing view of the majestic cliff, the Château des Anglais, and the famous Autoire waterfall. First thing in the morning, the light caresses the stone and invites contemplation. Just a few steps away, the stream murmurs, beckoning you to take a stroll amid nature and the gentle pace of life. Hiking enthusiasts will be delighted: the GR trail passes right by, and a path leads directly to Rocamadour. Inside, the atmosphere is decidedly cozy, warm, and unique—because here, you’re staying in a truly one-of-a-kind home. Every detail has been carefully considered to make you feel at home, as if in a timeless retreat. The 10 m² terrace is a real highlight for enjoying meals overlooking the surrounding countryside, with a wide, unobstructed view. The owner, who lives in the village, keeps a low profile but is available if needed. An ideal starting point for exploring Rocamadour, Martel, Figeac, and many other treasures of the Lot region. A three-story dovecote: a 13 m² living room with a dining area, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a bathroom with a toilet. Head up the stairs to a living area that opens onto a private 10 m² terrace (with patio furniture and a parasol), then climb a few more steps to reach the attic bedroom (with a 140-cm bed). Reversible air conditioning in the living room and electric heating on the first floor. Private parking space across from the dovecote (50 meters). The steep path from the parking lot will turn you into hikers, but it’s still very manageable! Here, heating is included in the price! This accommodations are not suitable for people with limited mobility.
