Welcome to Waterford Den! Experience the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort in this beautiful 1,800-square-foot log home nestled in the Galena Territory. You’ll love the warm, rustic feel paired with modern amenities that make this home both cozy and convenient.
Discounted Golf - Guests may purchase paper golf vouchers offering preferred rates and tee-time benefits at Eagle Ridge Resort’s The General, North Course and South Course. Vouchers must be purchased before your stay and mailed to you prior to arrival. Please contact us well in advance for details.
Main Level
Step into the breathtaking great room featuring a soaring 22-foot knotty pine cathedral ceiling, hand-peeled collar ties, and a dramatic floor-to-ceiling window that fills the space with natural light. Cozy up by the corner stone gas fireplace while enjoying the flat-screen TV/DVD. The kitchen includes a working island with seating and opens to a dining area with a table that comfortably seats eight—perfect for meals and game nights. A full-size laundry room adds extra convenience. Just off the great room, you’ll find the large primary bedroom with a King bed. This bedroom and the Queen bedrrom next to it share the hallway full bathroom. Step outside to enjoy the screened-in porch and deck, or unwind on the patio in the private hot tub. The large, level backyard is ideal for kids’ outdoor play and family fun.
Upper Level
The open loft at the top of the stairs overlooks the great room and serves as an additional sitting and sleeping area, complete with a queen sleeper sofa and TV/DVD. The upper level also features a private Queen bedroom with it's own bathroom located in the loft.
We do allow dogs at our home. Please no more than two pooches at a time during your stay. We will ask you to sign an additional form to allow your pet and there will be an additional $150 pet fee per stay. This is not a deposit and will not be returned. There will be additional fees charged if your pet causes any damage or if additional cleaning is necessary for your pet after your stay. We would love to host you and your dogs!
As our guest, you’ll have access to the Galena Territory Owners’ Club, featuring indoor and seasonal outdoor pools, waterslides, a kiddie pool, fitness and game rooms, basketball and tennis courts, playground, WiFi, and more. You can also enjoy Lake Galena, the Shenandoah Riding Center, and miles of hiking trails throughout the Territory. Good to know: The home may not have enough amenity cards for your entire group. Additional passes are available for $5 per day. Amenities may have additional fees, seasonal hours, or occasional closures, and availability is not guaranteed.
Important Booking Information: A 30% payment is due at booking, with the remaining balance automatically charged 14 days before arrival. At that time, the reservation becomes non-refundable and dates cannot be changed. A rental agreement will be emailed after booking and must be signed within 48 hours. The primary guest must be 25 or older and present for the entire stay. Because our cancellation policy is firm, we strongly recommend travel insurance, available through CSA at booking or up to 15 days before arrival. All payment amounts and due dates will be clearly outlined in your rental agreement.
You’ll receive a link to your Guest Guide at booking with everything you need for your stay. Your entry code will appear under the Welcome tab 3 days before arrival. Early check-in is not guaranteed and can only be considered the night before or morning of arrival. Your Guest Guide will provide details on how to request it.

The house was clean, and the staff came back as we checked in to ensure we had clean linens. Second, the hot tub cleaners showed up to ensure that was good as well in the first few hours. Other than a few lightbulbs being out and the First level bathroom shower setting off the smoke alarm, it was a perfect house, great location for a fair price.

We had a great stay at the Waterford Den in June for a 4 night family vacation - 6 adults, 18 month grandchild and 2 family dogs. We were also able to get an early check in time. :) The outside pool at the owners club was so nice to have as a perk. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch playing games and used the hot tub every day. We also appreciated the quick drive (10 to 15 min) into Galena to explore. The property is very nice, but does have a few maintenance needs. The main impact was the fridge stopped working on our 3rd day and we had to live out of our coolers for the last 24 hours. We noticed some previous reviews about the fridge as well, so hopefully it got resolved permanently. The rental company responded right away and tried to get someone there to look at it, but they could not get there until after we checked out. We did get a $50 credit to cover the inconvenience, ice, and some food we had to throw out, which was a nice compromise. There were a few other minor things that need maintenance throughout the property that didn't really impact us, but we will mention to the owners, Overall the property is a nice, clean, comfortable, quiet place to stay with the conveniences of home. Thank you for helping us have a wonderful family vacation!

Property very nice, quiet and as listed. Lots of extra pillows and blankets which our party loved! Hot tub and check in very easy! It is a “lights off” community so lots of beautiful stars, just be careful if driving in after dark.

The host seemed great to begin with, however once we arrived and discovered that the hot tub was not in working order, her interaction was not adequate.
