The Science Centre and IMAX cinema are just across the dock, and the SEC Armadillo and Ovo Hydro are just across the river. This area, Finnieston, also has many good restaurants and bars. Ibrox football stadium is close by and a 15 minute walk will take you to the nearest Subway station (Cessnock) which will take you into the heart of the city (St Enoch or Buchanan Street) in a few stops.
